Match report Home game
against
This
being the final home game of the season for the Fry Club B Girl’s and their
penultimate game, obviously grabbing another three points was top of the Fry
Teams priority!
The
game started poorly for the Fry's Girls as they were 1-0 down in under 3
minutes and Bristol Central looked sharp and very much up for it!
As
if someone flicked a switch the Fry Club Girls just got going and started to
play some quality football.
Just
as looked like Bristol Central were getting back on top of their game Steph
broke away down the left and slotted home a wonderful shot from outside the box
to put the Fry Girls back on level terms at 1-1.
The
game now became a very competitive affair with the Fry Girls slightly on top.
With 10 minutes left to play of the first half Amy sprinted off down the right
wing to squeeze a beautifully hit shot between the Bristol Central goal keeper
and the post. 2-1 to the Fry Club Girls!
Emily
Tite was then changed for Sophie and
After
a brave and strong performance from the Fry Club Girls in the first half in
that they had come from behind to lead at the break, the same was expected from
them in the second half.
The
second half started as the first with Bristol Central very much on top! To
combat this Sophie was changed for Chelsie. Bristol Central kept up the
pressure with long over the top balls and the Fry Girls just seemed unable to
get a grasp of the midfield. Emma to her credit did a wonderful job in the Fry
Club defence and just challenged for every ball and didn't stop running in
order to kept her team in front. Chelsie then took a knock and couldn't
continue! So Danni returned to the game as Chelsie replacement.
The
second half ground on and though Bristol Central were very much on top The Fry
Club Girls just held on as the final whistle blew and the Fry Club B Girls
emerged the victors 2 goals to 1, and added another 3 valuable points to the
seasons total.
The
Player of the
Match for this game was Emma due to her being constantly under pressure in
the second half and mopping up around her fellow defenders and just never
giving in! Well done Emma.
